James Wisdom, 2nd Vice President of Digital Marketing, Aflac
James Wisdom is the 2nd Vice President, Integrated Marketing at Aflac, the top provider of voluntary and guaranteed-renewable insurance in the United States. He reports to Aflac's Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for developing and implementing innovative integrated marketing initiatives that engage current and prospective customers across the B2B, B2C and Recruiting spectrum. Since joining Aflac, James has led numerous key initiatives. He developed the strategy for the redesign and re-launch of Aflac.com, in tandem with Aflac's online measurement, analysis, and testing and optimization practice. These efforts had a significant impact on the business and earned him two Webby awards for online excellence. Capitalizing on the surge of social media, James introduced the Aflac Duck to a global audience and conceived the largest and fastest-growing Facebook Cause campaign, generating $1.16 million in donations to the Aflac Childhood Cancer Center. He also developed the first sales app for iPad, which improved the efficiency of Aflac's field force of more than 70,000 agents. Most recently, James managed the execution of the "Answer the Duck's Call" campaign to find a new voice for the Aflac duck from over 12,000 applicants. Before joining Aflac, James was a Multichannel & Cross-channel Management Consultant for Accenture, leading initiatives at BestBuy, United Airlines, and Cargill, as well as a subject matter expert for e-commerce, social media, and internet marketing platforms. James led e-commerce and online brand efforts at top-ranked online merchant, QVC, and has driven innovation with results for Philip Morris, GE and Johnson & Johnson. A seasoned professional with experience in a variety of industries, Wisdom possesses a keen understanding of the latest technology and marketing trends. He is a compelling and articulate speaker, as well as a visionary leader with the ability to think strategically, and develop a successful plan of execution.
